My Published Poem

 My Poem Published in an Anthology


It is everyone's dream to have their own writings published. And I am in that everyone.

It was a dream come true for me to have a poem of mine published.

This poem is the one I wrote inspired by our life during COVID-19, the lockdowns, the masks, the vaccines, the food habits, the social distance, and especially the teaching during those pandemic days.

I recited this poem in front of my colleagues at VNR VJIET, Hyderabad, Telangana and everyone appreciated me, praising me for the rhyme scheme, creativity and the humour in it.

Some of them even advised me for publishing it in an anthology and gave me few suggestions. And then this is the link of the pages from that anthology. 

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

I also hope you have a smile or two, as this poem reminds you of the pandemic days and our life during those days.

This Rose is for My Dearest Father in Heaven  There are three instances that I keep recalling about You Naanna🙂. The cycle rides to the market to have evening snacks😍, The movies in theatre😍, And the way You looked at me from that far before you left us😊. Every time I visit our villages, people keep on telling all things about how you used to love children😍, How warm and humane You were😊, And how selfless You were in helping others🤗.  And how you and Amma longed to have children And how you could be so happy to us now if you were here with us. Listening to them about you makes me so emotional but so happy. And all I want to say is - I am so proud of you Naanna🙂.  And I miss You and Amma many times in a day🙂.  But I'm happy with the hope that You and Amma are together & happy wherever you are and are blessing me and sister as we grow in this world❤.  You are my First Hero my dear Appa, Happy Father's Day Pa😘❤💐. Mixed Feelings

  Mixed Feelings... "Another Red-letter day!" said my heart, "What about the heartbreaks?" reminded my mind. A mixed day it has been,  Mixed feelings, mixed emotions, not recently seen.  Some heart-smiles heaven, some heartbreaks hell,  Some loved gifts given, some fated promises kept.  Just one glance reminded a thousand glances missed,  And One sight, a thousand sights missed. So much of love, but there's the promise of the loved,  So much of care, but there's the plight of the beloved.  Love unlimited, love unconditional,  But now life limited, and life conditioned.  The souls know they so much miss each other, That's how they know they so dearly love each other. They long to see and talk,  They love to look and walk.  They did it once, but now it's gone,  They wished to again, within their hearts they prayed at dawn.  Will THEY become ONE again?
