To My Mother in Heaven

Lost you when I still didn't know the meaning of the word 'losing',
And after all these long years, there's not a single day that goes by without me missing you, my Amma.

They say - God couldn't be everywhere, so he created mothers, or Heaven is at one's mother feet and all.
But I wonder why he thought some people don't need mothers or heaven.

The love you showered me with, none could ever do it till now. 
There's definitely something about losing a sweet loving mother like you.

For it leaves me with this feeling of a permanent inexpressible - a wound in my heart that will never quite heal, until I reach you somewhere, somehow, sometime, sooner than later.

I love you so much and I miss you lots Amma,
And my words can never explain how much and how deep.

I always knew that you watch over me, while I try to become better.
And I can never repay you for all that love you have for me, Amma.

I wish there will be one day, like in my dreams oft,
One day and one moment for me to meet you and express my love and longing for you Amma,

Because - "All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe it to my angel mother." - as Abraham Lincoln beautifully puts it.
